After two decades in the NYC fashion industry, I knew it was time to build something of my own — something that truly reflected my values. The evlolution of ARRA was born from a desire to create garments that are not only beautiful, but responsible: made from environmentally conscious textiles crafted and deveoped in the US, Italy, and Portugal, and designed to stand the test of time.
NY Fashion has given me so much — craft, discipline, an eye for what endures. But it had also shown me what the industry too often gets wrong: the waste, the speed, the indifference to the hands that make it all happen and the earth that gives. I wanted to do it differently. Not loudly, not as a statement — but quietly, through every choice made along the way.
My inspiration comes from the organic forms found in nature and a deep love for art, design and architecture. Every ARRA piece is a reflection of that — thoughtful, intentional, and created to last. Everything begins with purpose.
The materials matter deeply to us. Whether it is the box it ships in or the fabric the garment is draped in. Our organic cotton developed in Portugal and Italy, superfine Italian merino certified to the Responsible Wool Standard, fabrics chosen and developed not for convenience but for conscience. Each garment is sewn in the heart of New York's Garment District or knit in Barletta, Italy — people whose craft we respect and whose work we are proud to work with.
There is a particular discipline required to build something from the ground up. ARRA was founded on that discipline — on the belief that restraint, quality, and intention to produce and design something far more enduring than volume ever could. Thank you for being part of our journey and community that understands the difference.
